Halton area most use Allen Bradley SLC 500 and Controllogix PLC, Wonderware Intouch HMI Version: 9.5, Insql and connect through Ethenet/TCP-IP.
1. Dialer system controls.
Burlington water plant have Low Lift (PLCs-BWA1,2), Chemical (PLCs-BWC1,2), Filter (PLCs-BWF0, BWF8-17), High Lift (PLCs-BWJ1,2), PreTreatment Actiflo (PLC-BWN1), Waste Treatment Actiflo (PLC-BWP1), OZONE (PLCs-BWW1-4) and Administration (PLC-BWY1).
· Find all area Critical Alarms (priority less or equal 10, total over 300 critical alarms).
· Add Enable/Disable Tags and Tags and Logics in All area and HMI Screen.
· Write PLC program for Holiday/weekend/afternoon shift and Dialer system.
· Write Intouch’s Script.
· Condition- workstation no activity/critical alarms and Holiday/weekend/afternoon shift/dialer enable/ dial out.
2. Modify High Lift Automate start sequence PLC programs and SCADA Intouch screens for Burlington Water Purification Plant
There are six (6) High lift pumps at plant, and all pumps are fixed speed drive. All pumps are operated in Plant_Manual or Local mode for this plant. The purpose of the PLC program is to make high lift pumps automatic control based on water demand by entering from SCADA HMI.
3. SCADA water flow controls
Working for water distribute department. Wrote PLC program that is calculate Burlington area every Reservoir current volume and total current volume and yesterday. Wrote PLC program that is calculate Oakville area every Reservoir and Tower current volume(ML); total current volume(ML) and yesterday; total south Halton current volume(ML). PLC communication use MSG command.
Add Intouch screen for trending these volume(ML)
4. Oakville water Purification plant filter logic sequence upgrade
Rewrite for backwash logic. PID control for some Valve
There are some signal need consider for the logic :

· Backwash Pump (1-2).

· Flocculation Tank Levels;
· Clearwell Levels;
· Waste Tank Level;
· Transfer Pipe Chlorine Residual (Free & Total); and,
· Settled Water Chlorine Residual (Free & Total).
